The San Francisco Medical Society is a nonprofit organization consisting of over 1,800 physician members and seven staff members that advocate for San Francisco physicians and their patients in the interest of public health. This year marks the 138th year of continuous existence in one of California’s most progressive cities.
SFMS members and staff are deeply involved in the community on behalf of organized medicine. We work on local policy issues, bring local problems to the state level and mediate between physicians, patients and insurers. We strive to educate physicians, patients and the public at large about important health care issues. |
